The first coin in this highlight is a single finest 1878 sovereign, featuring the young head of Queen Victoria designed by William Wyon RA. The ‘Young Head’ effigy captures the youth and beauty of Victoria when she was crowned queen at just 18 years old.
The second coin in this highlight is a 2022 gold 200 pound with a equestrian effigy (riding a horse, to left) of young Queen Elizabeth II at her coronation, while the reverse features an elaborate royal mantle design, which was inspired by the coinage of William IV.
