Andreas has been buying and selling coins for most of his life. When he was five his grandfather gave him a bucket of silver bullion coins to trade, an early lesson in entrepreneurship. Today, the same principles applied in his early collecting remain at the heart of The Coin Cabinet approach — a focus on rarity, historical appeal and quality. Launched in 2014, the idea for The Coin Cabinet came from a frustration with the high cost of market access for coin traders, particularly the complex fees charged by traditional auction houses and dealers. He also wants to demystify trading with an accessible auction platform and transparent pricing. A passion for numismatics complements his fascination with history, and the conviction that remarkable events of the past illuminate current and future trends. Ultimately he’s a believer in gold — as a real asset hedge against currency fluctuations, volatility and political instability — a lesson implicit in his grandfather’s gift, an artefact from a time when coins had intrinsic value.
I started collecting coins at the age of 10, accompanying my father, a full-time coin dealer, to numerous trade shows and coin fairs. My early passion for numismatics led me to acquire tokens, medallions, and unique coins from around the world.
At 30, I decided to turn my hobby into a career, diving into the world of coin dealing and trading. I traveled extensively across Europe and the US, buying and selling coins, and building valuable connections along the way.
In 2009, an opportunity arose to establish a new company in Switzerland. I moved to Geneva and became the Director of Numisor SA, a role I held until 2016. During my tenure, I initiated our own auctions, sparking a lasting passion for this method of maximizing the value of clients' assets. Following my time in Geneva, I collaborated with DNW, Roma, and Baldwin's, where I focused on client service, business development, and expanding our client base.
I am excited to join The Coin Cabinet as a Consignment Consultant and look forward to contributing to the team’s success.

I’m here to support all your accounting and business needs. I began my career as a management accountant in the industry, eventually rising to the role of CFO within a multibillion international group in the energy sector.
My transition to accounting was driven by a desire to leverage my industry experience to support SMEs. Currently, as the leader of Liberate Accountants, I utilise my background to guide and support our clients in achieving their business goals.
I have recently joined The Coin Cabinet as an Accounting Advisor, where I look forward to contributing to the company's financial strategy and growth.
